PMN Welcomes
Agdia as 60th Partner
Agdia Inc., a leading provider of
cost-effective, reliable and practical diagnostic
solutions for the past 25 years, has become the 60th
organization to partner with the Plant Management
Network. Agdia’s 200-plus diagnostic tests are used
in research, diagnostic labs, greenhouses, and
growers' fields; and are recognized worldwide for
their value, stability, and efficiency. The tests
encompass pathogen detection, as well as the
detection of transgenic plant traits (GMO's), plant
growth hormones, and other plant analytes. Agdia
also offers testing services, which are recognized
for rapid results, high throughput testing, and
comprehensive crop screens.
Together with other partners, Agdia helps build and
fund PMN’s nonprofit, science-based resources used
by growers, consultants, and researchers worldwide.

Check Out PMN’s Redesigned Homepage!

Plant Management Network recently revamped its
homepage making its journals and other
electronic resources even more easily accessible.
This comes from comments that users were not aware
of PMN's full range of content offerings. Direct
links to PMN's four peer-reviewed journals and
subscription/partnership icons are now prominently
displayed. PMN publishes journals, search engines,
and other e-resources in fulfillment of its mission
of providing science-based solutions in agriculture
and horticulture.

Plant Health Progress
Editor's Pick
Stripe
smut, caused by Ustilago striiformis, was
unknown in Oregon seed production fields of
orchardgrass until it was detected in surveys begun
in 2003. S.C. Alderman and colleagues document
stripe smut incidence in orchardgrass and other
grass species grown in Oregon and discuss management
options for growers in this
editor’s pick.
